1. Stay hydrated
Due to the wedding and all the shopping, you have been feeling exhausted. If you skip the water, you are dehydrating not only your body but also your skin. According to Dr. BL Jangid, you should drink 8 glasses of water per day. It will moisturize your skin from within, making it glow in this sweltering heat. Beauty tips
2. Apply Sunscreen
In the summer, UV rays can cause serious skin damage. In order to combat this problem, try wearing sunscreen that has an SPF of 30 or higher on all exposed areas against both sunburn and harmful rays. Even indoors, it is important to apply sunscreen. It is very easy to find quality sunscreens that provide protection from UVA, UVB, and infrared rays in the market today, said Shivaani Yadav.
3. Cleanse your face
Our oil glands become active in the summer, which is one of the main factors contributing to pimples. In order to resolve this issue, you should use a foamy or gel cleanser containing salicylic acid twice daily. You should wash your face twice a day if your skin is dry. To avoid clogged pores and breakouts, ensure you remove all makeup before going to bed. Micellar water is best for this purpose.
4. Exfoliate your skin
Once a week, gently exfoliate your skin to keep it looking glowing. The removal of dead skin cells makes your skin healthier as well. Additionally, it helps maintain skin radiance and smoothness by stimulating blood circulation. A mild exfoliator with alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) can be used to remove dead skin cells gently,” explained Dr. Jangid.
5. Keep yourself moisturized
Similar to water, moisturisers hydrate the skin. Whenever your skin requires moisturising, use a lightweight, non-comedogenic formula. Cause of this your skin will be hydrated and your skin’s mechanical barrier will be maintained against dirt and superficial infections. You can choose a gel-based moisturizer if your skin is oily.
6. Eat healthy
Your skin-care routine requires a healthy diet. Ultimately, what you eat will show up on your skin. Your body will feel good and your skin will be healthy if you eat a healthy diet. A healthy diet, avoiding junk food binges, and choosing fresh and healthy food will make your skin glow. You can include vegetables, sprouts, fresh fruits, egg whites, and nuts in your diet to achieve a healthy glow. Dr. Shivaani Yadav explains that oral antioxidants like vitamin E and C can also protect the skin against free radical damage. Beauty tips
7. Don’t stress yourself
Of course, this is your wedding and you want everything to be perfect, but too much exhaustion will harm your health. Whenever you are in a stressful situation, your sympathetic nervous system releases stress chemicals like Adrenaline and Cortical into your body. Your body produces more oil when you’re stressed, which can clog pores and cause acne breakouts. Enjoy some time with your closest friends and family members to relax, enjoy the moment, and take it easy.
8. DIY
It’s not a good idea to try home remedies without understanding your skin type because you can never be sure what’ll work. A rosewater mist, on the other hand, may keep your skin hydrated and refreshed. Dr. Shivaani Yadav cautioned that you should not follow any skin-care trends near your wedding. Beauty tips
9. Medifacial and other treatments
Despite our distaste for salon facials and treatments, a qualified, board-certified dermatologist is the one who can give you the right guidance regarding your skin type/issues. As well as what treatment options are most effective for your skin type. You should consider Medi facials like hydra facials, pumpkin peel facials, carbon laser peels, chemical peels, etc. You can choose once every month if you are unable to follow a daily skincare routine.
10. Consult a dermatologist
There may be times when people experiment with new products or home remedies to look good, which often end up causing more harm than good. Seeing an experienced dermatologist can help you better understand what your skin needs. You can follow a correct skin care regimen based on his/her guidance,” said Dr. Jangid.
Avoid facial treatment near the wedding
To appear radiant and gorgeous, brides-to-be usually indulge in many facials and new products. There is however the risk that this will cause irritation. As well as acne and salon facials use different solutions containing a variety of components and you may experience acne 7-21 days after your treatment. Beauty tips
You should avoid facial waxing in the weeks leading up to your wedding because it may irritate your skin, and cause redness, lumps, breakouts, and burn. As your wedding day approaches, it seems that less is more.
