Vegetable Manchurian with the goodness of vegetables like carrots and cabbage and can be prepared with dried or sauce. This delicious recipe can also be served as an appetizer at events and parties. The Manchurian vegetarian recipe tastes best when served with Hakka noodles/noodles, fried bread, and fried rice. If you want to make something tasty and delicious, try this Manchurian vegetarian recipe at home and enjoy the flavours of this Chinese dish with your loved ones and friends.

Restaurant-style  vegetarian Manchurian Recipe at home:

Ingredients:

To prepare the Balls you will need:

  • half cup chopped cabbage
  • half cup chopped onion
  • half cup grated carrot
  • half cup grated cauliflower
  • half cup chopped green beans
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped garlic
  • 3 teaspoon finely chopped green chilli
  • half cup grated capsicum (green pepper and red bell pepper)
  • 1/3 cup and 2 teaspoons simple flour
  • 4 tablespoon corn starch
  • salt and water As required
  • oil for deep fry

2). To prepare the Gravy you will need:

  • half tablespoon soya sauce
  • 2 tablespoon tomato ketchup
  • 2 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped garlic
  • 3 teaspoon capsicum and spring onion
  • half tablespoon corn starch
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1/3 cup and 2 teaspoon coriander leaves
  • 2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon red chili sauce

Directions: 

1). For the veg Manchurian Balls:

  • Take a bowl and mix chopped cabbage, onion, carrot, green beans, and finely chopped ingredients green chilli and garlic( make sure garlic are no big pieces as they might be bitter to bite on).
  • Then add grated carrot, cauliflower, and capsicum and add salt according to taste. Now add cornflour and plain flour (it will give crispiness to the veg Manchurian). Add some water and start mixing all the ingredients properly with your hands
  • Make small balls of the mixture (like koftas). Deep fry the balls till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper and keep it aside.

2). For the veg Manchurian gravy:

  • Take a separate pan and heat 2 tablespoons vegetable oil and Saute chopped garlic, ginger paste, capsicum, and spring onion
  • Cook for a min and then add tomato ketchup, soya sauce, white vinegar, red chilli sauce, and water with 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch and stir well cook for another mint. Add the deep-fried balls to the gravy
  • Cook the delicious veg Manchurian or 2 to 4 mint in low flame and serve hot garnish with spring onion and coriander.

Other tips:

  • Wet your hand while rolling the balls to prevent the mixture from sticking to your hand.
  • Fry the Manchurian balls over medium heat.
  • For crisper Manchurian balls, fry them a second time over high heat.
  • Put the Manchuria in the refrigerator a few hours before frying.
